At Anindita College of Teacher Education, we are more than just an institution; we are a movement of hope. Born in a quiet remote place Bhadutala of Paschim Medinipur, far from the bustle of cities, our college stands as a symbol of opportunity for rural communities. We believe that every child deserves a teacher who can open doors to knowledge, and every aspiring teacher deserves a chance to shine, no matter where they come from. With that vision we started our journey in the year 2014 under the under the stewardship of Gopsai Avinandan Sangha, an educational society registered under West Bengal Societies Act XXVI, 1961and within few years Anindita College of Teacher Education (popularly known as ACTE) has established it to be a sanctuary for aspiring educators from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering them not just a degree, but a mission.

Our journey began with a simple dream: to bring quality teacher education to places where it was once thought impossible. Today, we are proud to be nurturing educators who will carry the torch of learning into classrooms across villages, towns, cities and beyond the state border.

ACTE offers a comprehensive B.Ed programme designed to develop competent and reflective teachers. With a balanced focus on theory, practice and field experience, the college prepares future educators for diverse classroom settings.

Anindita College of Teacher Education offers a calm, green ambiance that nurtures learning and reflection. Surrounded by nature, the campus inspires future educators to grow intellectually, ethically and sustainably.

The ACTE library is centrally located, easily accessible and remains open all days of the week. The library has a collection of over 5000 volumes in different subjects

The President of India is the Visitor of the University. The Union Minister, Education Ministry, Government of India, is the Chancellor of the University. Prof. Shrinivasa Varakhedi is the present Vice Chancellor of the University. Collaboration With Central Sanskrit University

We are pleased to inform you that Central Sanskrit University, Delhi, has extended its approval for the Prak Shastri Course to ACTE. This decision reflects their commitment to expanding the accessibility of Sanskrit education and promoting the rich cultural heritage embedded in Sanskrit literature beyond their campus. Not only Sanskrit, Students interested to study Science Stream in H.S and have keen interest to explore our own culture, i.e Sanskrit, will have the opportunity to learn both at the same time under Central Sanskrit University.
